The Professional Fraternity Council is an SA charted group responsibile for overseeing all professional fraternities on the BU campus. It has served as the governing body for administrative affairs for Greek life, planned events, and has maintained oversight on all pledging related matters for each fraternity. The Professional Fraternity Council is a self governing body which acts on behalf of the fraternity presidents and delegates as well as its executive board.
The Professional Fraternity Council started out over five years ago and first consisted of Phi Alpha Delta, Alpha Omega Pi, Delta Sigma Pi, Theta Tau, and Phi Delta Epsilon.
In the Spring of 2007 Delta Epsilon Mu, the pre-health fraternity joined the PFC upon completed of their school and national charter.
In the Fall of 2007, Alpha Kappa Psi, the business fraternity and Alpha Omega Epsilon, the engineering sorority are scheduled to join the PFC as well.
The Professional Fraternity Council includes more than 300 students on the Binghamton University Campus. With new professional fraternity chapters being established each year and an expected increase in the BU student body, that amount will only increase.
